What are the main technical indicators of DC regulated power supply
Main technical indicators of DC stabilized power supply
The technical indicators of the DC regulated power supply can be divided into two categories: one is the characteristic index, which reflects the inherent characteristics of the DC regulated power supply, such as input voltage, output voltage, output current, and output voltage adjustment range; the other is the quality index. , reflecting the advantages and disadvantages of DC regulated power supply, including stability, equivalent internal resistance (output resistance), ripple voltage and temperature coefficient.
1. Characteristic indicators
(1) Output voltage range
The output voltage range that can work normally under the working conditions of the DC regulated power supply. The upper limit of the indicator is specified by the maximum input voltage and the minimum input-output voltage difference, while the lower limit is determined by the internal reference voltage value of the DC regulated power supply.
(2) Maximum input-output voltage difference
This indicator represents the maximum allowable voltage difference between input and output under the normal working conditions of the DC stabilized power supply, and its value mainly depends on the withstand voltage index of the internal adjustment transistor of the DC stabilized power supply.
(3) Minimum input-output voltage difference
This indicator characterizes the minimum input-output voltage difference required to ensure the normal working conditions of the DC regulated power supply.
(4) Output load current range
The output load current range is also called the output current range. Within this current range, the DC regulated power supply should be able to ensure compliance with the indicators given by the index specification.
2. Quality indicators
(1) Voltage regulation rate SV
The voltage regulation rate is an important indicator to characterize the quality of the voltage regulation performance of the DC regulated power supply. It is also called the voltage regulation coefficient or the stability coefficient. It represents the degree of stability of the output voltage VO of the DC regulated power supply when the input voltage VI changes. Expressed as a percentage of the relative change in the input and output voltages at a unit of output voltage.
(2) Current regulation rate SI
The current regulation rate is a main self-index reflecting the load capacity of the DC regulated power supply, also known as the current stability coefficient. It characterizes the ability of the DC regulated power supply to suppress the fluctuation of the output voltage caused by the change of the load current (output current) when the input voltage is constant. The percentage of output voltage change value represents the current regulation rate of the DC regulated power supply.
(3) Ripple rejection ratio SR
The ripple rejection ratio reflects the ability of the DC regulated power supply to suppress the mains voltage introduced at the input terminal. When the input and output conditions of the DC regulated power supply remain unchanged, the ripple rejection ratio is usually determined by the peak-to-peak value of the input ripple voltage. The peak-to-peak ratio of the output ripple voltage is generally expressed in decibels, but sometimes it can also be expressed as a percentage, or directly expressed as a ratio of the two.
(4) Temperature stability K
The temperature stability of the integrated DC regulated power supply is the percentage value of the relative change of the output voltage of the DC regulated power supply within the specified maximum variation range of the operating temperature Ti of the DC regulated power supply (Tmin Less than or equal to Ti Less than or equal to Tmax).
